I decided to get my mum an alarm in 2018 following a very bad fall at home. She was 92 at the time, and fortunately, both myself and my husband were at home when it happened. She fractured her femur in 4 places and, after surgery, was sent for convalescence.
After 4 months, she came home. Both myself and my husband were still working and I was beside myself with worry. I wasn’t in a position to give up work, but how could I leave my mum? I immediately thought of an alarm and, from great feedback, decided on Telecare 24.

I installed a camera in my home, with carers and family popping in and out coupled with my mum’s alarm. I was finally given peace of mind. I undertake a monthly test on the alarm, and it’s always so reassuring to hear a voice on the other end asking my mum if she is OK and safe.
Thankfully, I was in a position to take early retirement in December and can now take care of my 94-year-old mum myself. If I have to pop out, I make sure my mum’s wrist alarm is always put on. It’s just a total Godsend that we could not function without. It’s worth every single penny, and I can’t recommend it enough.
