How to choose a careline company.

Choosing a careline company is an important decision that requires careful consideration. Here are some additional factors to consider when selecting a careline company:

Look for a company with a strong reputation for reliability and quality of service. Research online reviews and ask for referrals from healthcare professionals or friends and family members who have used the service.

A careline service should have a rapid response time in case of emergency. Ask about their average response time and how they handle emergency situations.

Check if the company uses the latest technology and equipment, such as automatic fall detection, GPS tracking, and easy accessibility to ensure the highest level of safety and monitoring.

Consider the quality of customer support and whether the company offers personalised care and support from experienced operators.

A good careline company should offer various service plans that meet the unique needs and preferences of each customer.

Consider the cost of the service and whether the company offers flexible payment options to suit your budget.

24/7 careline service FAQs.

A careline service is a 24/7 monitoring service that connects you to our emergency response team at the touch of a button. A careline service provides around-the-clock support and ensures that you are not alone in case of an emergency.

Careline service companies provide you with a personal alarm device that you wear or always have with you. This device connects you to our emergency team when you fall down or press the emergency button. This way, we can respond quickly and efficiently in an emergency.

When you press the personal alarm button, you will be connected to our emergency response team, which will assess your situation and provide the appropriate assistance. Our team can dispatch emergency services, inform your keyholder if necessary, or simply reassure and support you over the phone.

Our emergency response team aims to respond to all careline calls within a matter of seconds, and we will either get in touch with your emergency contact person or contact the emergency services immediately on your behalf if necessary.

If you are worried about being unable to press the button in an emergency, you should consider taking advantage of our advanced fall alarm device that detects falls and automatically alerts our emergency response team to provide the appropriate assistance.

If you accidentally press the emergency button, don’t worry! Our emergency response team will have a friendly conversation with you to make sure you’re okay and that there is no emergency.

At Telecare24, we offer a range of affordable and flexible payment options to suit your budget. Our packages start from just £9 per month, and we offer discounts if you choose to pay annually.

Prices vary depending on the plan that you choose. Please see our personal alarm plans page for quick links to more details about each plan.

All prices are excluding VAT, which 95% of our customers don’t pay.

When choosing a careline service company, it’s important to look for one that is accredited by the Telecare Services Association (TSA), has a responsive emergency response team, and offers affordable and flexible payment options.

At Telecare24, we meet all of these criteria and more, making us the ideal choice for your careline service needs. Our TSA membership number is TSA767.

Our careline monitoring systems are easy to install and come with simple instructions in the box.

  • If you have one of our digital personal alarms, all you need to do is plug the base unit into a mains power socket.
  • If you have an analogue personal alarm, then you also need to connect your telephone line into the back of the base unit. Be sure to follow the instructions that come in the box. (If you already have a digital plan, you can skip this step!)
  • The GO! GPS alarm equipment just needs to be charged using the charging cables that we provide.

Please note, when your analogue landline service is switched off, you will need to upgrade your personal alarm to a digital one.

We’ve made sure that your equipment is really simple to set up, but we are always happy to help if you need us to – just give us a call.

If you order one of our digital plans, the simple answer is no.

  • Our digital plans are unaffected by the digital switchover as they use SIM technology and not the landline telephone network.

Our analogue pendant alarm plan requires you to have a working landline telephone in the property.

Please note, if you have an analogue personal alarm then you will need to upgrade your personal alarm when your analogue landline is disconnected.

No idea what we’re talking about? Learn more about the digital switchover, or give us a call and one of our friendly advisors will be happy to talk you through what’s happening.

You can cancel your careline service at any time by contacting our customer service team.

Yes, you can use our careline service outside of your home.

On our pendant and fall plans, your alarm will work up to 200 metres from the base unit. That’s comfortably enough for most homes and gardens.

Please note, these distances can be affected by things like the thickness of the walls in your home, and other factors.

Our GO! GPS alarm works anywhere in the UK where there is a mobile network signal available. It uses built-in GPS technology that lets our team know where you are, making it ideal for somebody who goes out and about most of the time.

At Telecare24, we offer flexible monthly or annual payment options with a minimum contract term of 12 months.

If you want to terminate the contract, you must notify us at least 28 days before your annual renewal date.

At Telecare24, we take the privacy and security of our customers’ personal information very seriously. All information is kept confidential and is only used for the purpose of providing our careline service.

If you move house while using our careline service, please contact our customer service team to let us know. We can update your contact information and make sure your monitoring system is properly set up at your new address.
