I am a Telecare24 customer and I wanted to give some really positive feedback of my experience of the service this morning.

I have a mobility disability and I am visually impaired. My disability causes me to have severe episodes where I pass out, which is why I have my button for reassurance and support if I need it.

Unfortunately, this morning I needed to use my button as I knew I was going to pass out and thought I might need support. I was incredibly frightened and distressed when I called and I spoke to Hannah, who was very gentle and reassuring as I tried to explain as best I could that I needed her to stay on the line while I passed out and then woke up, to see if I needed one of my friends to come and take care of me.

Hannah was incredibly caring and supportive and once I’d come round and explained I was ok and just needed some reassurance I could have one of my friends called if I needed them, Hannah even stayed on the line with me for a little bit longer to check I was ok before we’d finished talking.

I just wanted to say thank you to Hannah and to Telecare24 for making it possible for me to live alone and independently and without the support and care of Telecare24, I wouldn’t be able to.

My situation this morning, which was extremely distressing, was made a lot less scary because I was able to press my button and know that support would be there with care and with no judgement.
